We are also a global leader in the field of reverse osmosis for seawater desalination.
Every day, we work to ensure water quality; to minimize waste generation, discharges, atmospheric emissions, and other sources of potential irritants; to use energy efficiently; to incorporate innovation into each of our processes. To do this, we rely on the talent and commitment of our more than 475 professionals worldwide. We value and promote our engineers and technicians’ training to offer Engineering, Construction, and Operation and Maintenance services for Water Treatment Plants. Providing training with our own resources allows us to bring value and innovation to our designs and select the technologies that are best suited to each need in all of the areas in which we act.

The History of Cadagua
Our company, which was founded on December 16, 1971, works in designing water treatment and purification plants. After years of being a leader in the sector, we became a part of Ferrovial in 1985.
The presence of innovation is clear in each of our processes. The R&D&I team, in collaboration with MIT and other research centers, places us on the cutting edge of the latest technologies. Our methodology allows us to keep everything from basic laboratory research to on-the-ground pilot tests and industrial applications in-house.
We were the first company in the field on the national market to obtain quality certification under ISO 9001 in 1997, and in 2003, we also obtained certification in Environment under ISO 14001.
As early as 2008, we were once again recognized as pioneers by obtaining certification for R&D&I management under Standard UNE 166002.
Since 2010, the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and ISO 14064-1 has checked our Carbon Footprint Calculation and report.
In 2016, we became the first company in the sector to establish a methodology to quantify our impact on water resources. It is based on the principles in The Water Footprint Assessment Manual, found in the Global Water Tool and GRI-G4.
