The US 290, Segment 5 project involves re-constructing approximately 3.5 miles of the US 290 main lanes and frontage roads. This includes the reconstruction of Highway US 290 in Houston, from east of W. Little York to west of Pinemont. The existing section of US 290 consists of 7 lanes while new configuration will include six travel lanes and one auxiliary lane in each direction, as well as reconstructed, two lane frontage roads.
