World Water Day

Stop and think about how many times you’ve used water today.

To take a shower, to drink, to wash a piece of fruit, to do the laundry. Water is an essential part of our lives and when it’s accessible, it’s easy to take it for granted. But did you know that 3 out of 10 people in the world lack potable water services?

That’s why on World Water Day, we are highlighting those who haven’t always been so fortunate and how access to clean water has changed their lives.

Our commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals

Access to water and sanitation is the sixth out of the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined in the United Nations 2030 Agenda and one that seeks a more sustainable and equal world. In addition, the period 2018-2028 has been declared by the UN as the International Decade of “Water for Sustainable Development”, as a way to promote initiatives that aim to solve the challenges faced by the planet’s water resources. A dream we all share in common and one that we are working towards.

As part of our commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals, we have set SDG nº 6: access to clean water and sanitation as one of our priorities. By doing so, we identify the best ways to integrate the SDGs into the strategy of the private sector and encourage new companies to join this challenge.

Today, we want to give them a voice.
